XIV Black sea fest "Euro folk" 2017 which is now conducting in the Bulgarian Black sea resort Kiten began. The festival is a part of the Musical feasts Euro folk and it is held under the auspices of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, official partner of UNESCO.
Official opening ceremony took part on the scene of "Green Park" Hotel. Mr Kaloyan Nikolov president of EAFF announced the festival as opened and the jury were introduced.
More than 80 groups and individual performers from Bulgaria and Romania will take part in the competition. Their performances will be assessed in 6 categories and 2 age groups. The groups are competing for the following awards: Honorable signs, laureate distinctions 1st,2nd and 3rd degree, recommendations for participation in the EAFF's championships, the title "Maestro" and "Maestro academician" for the well-presented artistic directors.
The jury will award the winners with Golden "Orpheus" in different categories and Grand Prix Golden "Orpheus" of the festival.
Many participants took part in the first concert and among them were: Children's vocal group "Kapitancheta" and Female vocal group "Kapitanka" from Kapitan Dimitrievo village, Pazardzhik region; Children's-Youth Dance Ensemble "Ogneni ritmi" from Svishtov; Folklore Dance Ensemble "Zagorovche" from Septemvri; Female Vocal Group "Senokoski slavei" from Senokos village, Dobrich region; Children's - Youth Dance Group "Chavdar" from Ivaylo villafe, Pazardzhik region; Folklore Vocal Group and Children's Folklore Group "Karalezche" from Tsarevets village, Dobrich municipality and the guests from Romania - "Colindatorii" and "Muguri de Catina".
