In the first weekend of October in the village near Pleven - Reselets the National song festival "Hristo Kovachev" will take place which has earned the title traditional. The official opening of the sixth edition is on the 01.10.2016 at 10:00. And this year the folklore celebration is organized by the local community center "Todor Popov-1924" and with the help of Municipality "Cherven Bryag"
In the festival, vocal groups, choirs and individual performers of authentic and manufactured folklore from associations, community centers, pensioner clubs and schools can participate with no age limit.
"The festival is held in memory of the great musical pedagogue, champion who looked for the Bulgarian folk and choir song Hristo Kovachev. A great conductor who devoted his life to preserver and spread the valuable songs form our folklore. The event is voluntary, but it's with a competition character. The jury will be giving its judgement in 3 categories - authentic and manufactured folklore and individual performances. For every category there will be first, second and third prize, medals and diplomas." the organizers from community center "Todor Popov-1924" informed.
