A memorial plaque on the occasion of the 100th anniversary since the birth of the great Bulgarian conductor Hristo Kovachev was officially presented in the village of Reselets, Cherven bryag area. The solemn ceremony was attended by the daughter of this unique teacher among the music circles - Margarita Kovacheva and his grandchildren - Dr. Rossen Nachev and Robert Kovachev.

The memorial plaque was officially presented by the chairmen of "Svetlina" Community center - Cherven bryag and "Todor Popov 1927" - Reselets village. The decision of the managing board of the community center trustees in Reselets was also announced - the concert salon of "Todor Popov 1927" Community center will be named after Hristo Kovachev.

This remarkable event became part of the National Song Festival held for fifth consecutive year in the name of prominent music pedagogue, proponent of raising the Bulgarian folk and choral song, who dedicated his life to search, store and disseminate the song pearls of our folklore.

More than 400 performers from singing choir groups and folklore dance and singing collectives were evaluated in three categories by musicologists and experts in the music sector. Chairman of the jury committee was Ivan Tsvetkov, and members - Antoaneta Pavlova and Darina Gergova. Margarita Kovacheva, who has been singing in the pioneer folk choir "Alen mak", which was found and led by her father, was a honorable member of the jury.

With bronze medals were awarded:

Female folk choir at "Hr. Botev" Community center - Slavyani village, SG “Nastroenie” at "Hr. Botev" Community center - Dolni Vit and the individual performer Tsvetelina Pelyova - "Napredak" Vommunity Center - Popitsa.

The second place and silver medals won the performers from:

FSG "Bulgarka" at "Probuzhdane" Community center - Tuchenitsa village, VG at PC "Zlatna esen" – Cherven bryag and the singer Ivanka Hristova at "Mita Stoycheva"Community center - Obedinenie village.

Gold medalists of the Fifth National Competition became the performers from:

FSG "Bogdan Krchunov" at "Prosveta" Community center - Doyrentsi village, Trio "Lukovit" at "Saznanie" Community center - Lukovit and Magdalina Gribneva at PC "Zlatna esen" - Cherven bryag.

The jury awarded the following diplomas:

First place to: Simona Stefanova from Slavyani village and to "Belchevite ergeni" - "Svetlina" Community center - Cherven bryag.

Second place to: Tsvetelina Pelyova from Popitsa village, Georgi Linchov from Ioglav, Singing group "Brestovichanka" Brestovets village, singins group to "Association Dokle e mladost" Yablanitsa, folklore group "Dunav" Somovit village, Singing group "Edelvays" Lukovit, Ivanichka Ivanova and Maria Vasileva from Lukovit.

Third place to "Razvitie - 1897" Community center, Telish village and to the group for folk songs at Kutsina villagle.

With diplomas for accompaniment were honored Vanyo Hristov from Cherven bryag, the Orchestra from Obedinenie village,  Milko Mihov - "Hr. Botev" Community center - Slavyani village.

Diploma for youngest participant received Kalina Koleva (8 years old), and for the most artistic presence on stage was awarded Emilia Petrova, both from Obedinenie village.
