How did the ancient Thracians celebrate? What role did wine play in their rituals? And which traditional flavors have been preserved to this day? You will find the answers to these questions in early April in a special extended video featureon EurofolkTV, covering the ninth edition of the scientific seminar “Thracians, Wine, and Culture.” The event took place on February 21–22, 2025, at the Archeo-Complex “Valley of the Thracian Kings.”

The forum brought together historians, archaeologists, winemakers, and enthusiasts of Bulgarian traditions, who revealed fascinating details about ancient Thracian rituals, their rock sanctuaries, and the special place of wine in their ceremonies. Visitors had the opportunity to explore a unique photo exhibition of megalithic structures in the Rose Valley, attend lectures by leading Bulgarian scholars, and enjoy an exclusive wine tasting featuring wines produced using traditional methods.
