On October 10th at 14:00 CET, the long-awaited premiere of the film dedicated to the 14th World Folklore Championship “World Folk 2024” will take place.
Viewers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of world folklore heritage, as the film will be broadcast on Eurofolk TV and the TV station’s YouTube channel. It will be an exciting journey through the most impressive moments of the championship, gathering together cultures, traditions, and rhythms from around the world.
The “World Folk 2024” Championship took place between August 28 and September 1 in the picturesque resorts of Nessebar, Sunny Beach, and St. Vlas, turning them into stages for vibrant costumes, folk songs, and dances. Over 800 performers from 60 groups and individual artists from countries such as Bulgaria, Lithuania and Indonesia shared their love for folklore.
The grand triumph of the event was for the group “Ranu Mareh at The Regency of South Barito” from Indonesia, which won the prestigious title of “Absolute World Champion for 2024.” Under the leadership of Dr. Manat Simanjuntak, the artists earned the gold medal “Golden Orpheus” and a prize of 1,000 euros. Admirably, they were also awarded honorary prizes, and the artistic director received the prestigious title of “maestro,” which will be officially awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Indonesia. The championship was filled with emotions and awards.
