The day of National Enlighteners is celebrated on 1st of November. It is Bulgarian holiday dedicated to the Bulgarian enlighteners, educators, clerics, and awakeners of national consciousness. Who are they and what is the history of the celebration, who is the patron of the Bulgarian enlightenment - you will find out in the first issue of the show "God Bless Us!" in November. The second church celebration that will be introduced in the show is Arhangelovden (Feast of the Archangels). This is one of the most celebrated holidays in autumn. On 8th of November the Bulgarian Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of the Archangels. In many Bulgarian villages and towns a sacrificial offering is made for the saint and ritual breads are prepared. This is also a Hero's day. It is recreated in the village of Polikraishte after a break of exactly 73 years at the initiative of Prof. Georgi Georgiev, Dr. Mariana Georgieva and their mother Mrs. Trifonka Popnikolova, Mayor of the village Marin Todoranov and representatives of "Razvitie - 1884" Community center. On 21st of November, the Orthodox Church celebrates one of the 12th great holidays - The Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple. On the same date is the Celebration - Day of Christian Family. Family visit of a church on that day is symbolizing the entrance of 3-years old Mary in the temple and reminds the parents for their spiritual obligations to their children. The Bulgarian Orthodox Church reminds for the life work of Saint apostle Andrew the "Protocletus" (the First Called) on 30th of November. In the folk calendar the date is marked by the name Andreevden (Saint Andrew's Day). It is believed that the day begins to grow. What's better to know about Andreevden you will know from the fourth festive issue of the show on November 29th and 30th.
