The jury gave two new First awards at the XIII Black Sea festival "Euro folk - 2016".
Performers from Female Choir "Srednogorski zvan" from Chelopech village, Sofia region with art director Nevelina Saradzhova were awarded with Golden "Orpheus" in category "Processed folklore" on the third day of the festival. The prize was awarded by the Chairman of the jury - Maestro Georgi Yankov - conductor and musical expert.
Second group awarded with the prestigious prize was Ensemble for folklore songs and dances from "Samorazvitie - 1924" Community center from Brestnik village, Plovdiv region. Their art director is Hristo Donchev. They won first prize at "Folklore ensembles" category.
Both formations received numerous awards - laureate titles, diplomas for continuity between generations and recommendations for participation in the European Championship of Folklore in 2017.
The performance of Mummers group "Sokol" from Sokolitsa village, Karlovo municipality was quite attractive and interesting for the audience. They presented the ritual "Proletno sabuzhdane" (Spring awakening)
Guests from Cultural and Artistic Dance Group "Abidar" from Sanandaj, Iran introduced traditional kurdish costumes and the dancers from Romania - Folklore Association CODRISORUL, Bontida presented cheerful local dances.
The program of the last contest day of XIII Black sea festival "Euro folk - 2016" begin today at 3:45 pm. The ceremony of official awarding and closing of the festival is at 9:50 pm. Concerts are boradcasted live on Internet Tv Eurofolk - general media partner of the event.
