United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization /UNESCO/ confirmed the official partnership with the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF. The decision was taken at the sixth session of the General Assembly of States - parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage from 2003 which was held from May 30 to June 1, 2016 at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris.
UNESCO accredited EAFF as a Consultant to the Intergovernmental Committee for Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Experts from the European Association will be working on the realization of projects and programs aiming at safeguarding intangible cultural heritage implemented in cooperation with UNESCO.
For all the members of EAFF is a great honor and joy to unite their own efforts with the biggest and the most respected institution in the world of education, science and culture.
